Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information CloseFlight (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the closeflight.com website and its tools (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Information You Provide
When you generate an itinerary document, you enter trip details such as passenger name(s), departure and destination airports, travel dates, and similar itinerary fields. This information is used to generate your document. We do not use it to contact you and we do not sell it to anyone.
If you contact us (contact form or email), we receive the details you send (such as your email address and message) and use them only to respond to you.
2. Payment Information
Paid documents are sold through third-party payment providers acting as merchant of record (such as Paddle.com or Lemon Squeezy). Your payment details (card number, billing information) are entered on and processed by the payment provider — we never see or store your card details. The provider shares with us only what is needed to deliver your purchase (such as order status and a transaction reference). Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
3. Information Collected Automatically
- Analytics: we use lightweight, self-hosted analytics to understand how the Service is used. This records data such as pages visited, referrer, approximate country (derived from IP address), device type, and browser language. It is used in aggregate to improve the Service.
- Server logs: like most websites, our servers automatically log technical data (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and troubleshooting.
- Cookies and similar technologies: the Service uses cookies/local storage for essential functionality (such as remembering a session) and, where advertising is shown, third-party advertising networks may set their own cookies or identifiers.
4. Advertising
Some pages may display third-party advertisements. Advertising partners may collect information via cookies or similar technologies to show ads. We do not pass them the details you enter to generate documents. You can limit ad tracking through your browser settings and, where applicable, your device's ad settings.
5. How We Use Information
- To generate and deliver the documents you request;
- To process purchases (via the payment provider) and provide support;
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service;
- To comply with legal obligations.
6. Data Retention
Itinerary data is kept only as long as needed to generate and deliver your document and for a short operational period afterwards. Aggregate analytics and server logs are retained for a limited time for security and statistics. Order records related to purchases may be retained as required for accounting and legal purposes.
7. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with: (a) payment providers, to process your purchase; (b) hosting and infrastructure providers that run the Service; and (c) authorities where required by law.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date above updated accordingly.
